AB DVINCI is an up-and-coming rapper/songwriter from Corpus Christi, TX. His brand of hip-hop is a mixture of gritty, honest lyrics, and southern soul with enough bounce for any club, or ride. Equipped with an arsenal of numerous mixtapes, guest appearances, an electrifying stage presence, and material constantly hitting the streets; AB DVINCI is working hard to make his mark in the rap game. AB grew up in the barrios and blue-collared neighborhoods of Robstown & Corpus Christi, TX. He was raised by a combination of hustlers, gangsters, a hard-working step-father, and a fierce but loving mother. Dvinci's biological father loved him very much but was still dangerously involved in the streets when AB was born so AB's mother was forced to leave his dad and attempt to make a better life for her and her son. His mother did everything in her power to raise him with good values and a strong work ethic but like many of the youth in his city, he was drawn to the streets and began hustling while still in high school. Knowing he didn't want to become another statistic, he soon began investing his energy and funds into his music with his friends and original crew, Prestigious Records. Unfortunately, tragedy struck and Dvinci's best friend, Francisco Mora aka Bernie Lomax was shot and killed in San Antonio, TX and the crew dispersed shortly after. However, AB decided to use his music as a way to cope with the tragic loss and continued to pursue his solo music career. After releasing multiple projects and performing throughout the Lone Star State; Dvinci, his good friend, Droopy M., and their team was collectively known as "Take Money Productions", began to make a buzz throughout Texas and landed a number of radio-worthy singles such as “#Fuego” & “Black on Black” on multiple internet & FM radio stations in major Texas cities and surrounding areas. Dvinci has proven by triumphing over his trials & tribulations that he has what it takes to become one of the greats in Hip-Hop.
Summary of TMP
Let us bring you up to speed in case you haven't been active. Which would be completely understandable in these times. But despite the recent hardships, the past two years have been one of progress and growth for AB Dvinci and the team collectively known as "Take Money Productions" (TMP).
When TMP founder, Droopy M., was trying to figure out what was next for the uncertain future of his label, which was originally comprised of different members who decided to go their separate ways, he didn't foresee there would be so much evolution and so many milestones being reached. In late 2019, just as things were picking up momentum, the label lost two of its core artists, delaying the promotion and rollout of a TMP compilation album. But rather than succumbing to the loss and the pressure of carrying the label on their back, AB Dvinci and Droopy M. did what they do best and used the downtime from the pandemic quarantine of 2020 to write and create quality music at an impressive and efficient pace. To say the least, it proved to be a prolific year for the two Texas artists. AB Dvinci delivered a compelling, well-received body of work with "The Manifesto Vol. 2", which contained the stand-out tracks "Belly" and "A Better Way (feat. T-Ress)". Droopy M. shocked the internet and FM radio waves alike with his hit single "#Fuego" featuring his partner-in-rhyme, AB Dvinci, and none other than the iconic, award-winning DJ Kane of the legendary group the "Kumbia Kings". "#Fuego" managed to generate enough buzz in the region to gain spins and get on rotation on notable FM radio stations such as Corpus Christi's Hot Z95, Ft. Worth' 97.9 The Beat, and Dallas' KNON 89.3.
After a successful promotional run consisting of some successful show dates, radio interviews, and podcast appearances, the small TMP regime was able to garner the attention of other local artists looking for a place to call home and a haven to create music. In 2021 Take Money Productions recruited the gritty, underground lyricist known as P.O.I.N.T. and released his official debut, solo project, "Whole City Sleeping", on all digital platforms. The project is currently doing well on Spotify and P.O.I.N.T. is receiving praise from his peers for his long-awaited contribution to the hip-hop landscape. Another addition to the Take Money family is newcomer, K3vin Davis. Although Davis is relatively new to the game, he possesses a soulful flow and a knack for crafting heartfelt, street records. His current single "Risk it All" featuring Justin Case of the legendary Dope House Store is available on all digital platforms.
Currently, AB Dvinci is promoting his two new singles, the spiritually-moving "SING" and the uplifting cut, "Hold me Down", a powerful collaboration record with Houston's hard-hitter, Castro Escobar, who was formally signed to Snow Tha Product's "Vibe Higher" label. Both records are currently being played on Corpus Christi's number one hip-hop station, Hot Z95 as well as other internet radio stations throughout Texas. Droopy M. just released his follow-up to "#Fuego" entitled "Testify" featuring his ever-loyal comrade in rap, AB Dvinci. The soulful, boom-bap production of the record takes Droopy back to the concrete and his roots as his unique, southern drawl paint the picture of the recent trials and tribulations he's overcome proving furthermore why he can't be grouped with anything less than the most real. All of these current releases are available on Apple Music, Spotify, and all digital platforms.
If you're hoping to catch AB Dvinci performing live any time soon, you'll have an opportunity to do so on December 16th in Corpus Christi, TX at Brewster Street Icehouse for the Jingle Jam show alongside The Ying Yang Twins. It's safe to say that Take Money Productions is in full effect.
