Raw Minus

Imagine chasing a dream that seems so close, that you could reach out and almost touch it. Fresno, Ca artist Raw Minus knows this feeling too well.

Raised by both parents who eventually moved in with his grandmother, Raw found himself intrigued by Rap/Hip Hop at an early age. From first hearing Hip Hop around the age of 10, while messing around with a friend's karaoke machine, Raw found himself attached to a type of music and outlet that was very much needed at the time. Raw began writing at the age of 13 and began recording at the age of 15. Influenced by the likes of west coast legends, such as Warren G and Nate Dogg, while digging through his dad's CD and tape collections, Raw began his mission to become an official rap artist. He remembers vividly being inspired by such tracks as Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five’s “The Message” and Ghetto Boys' “Mind Playing Tricks on Me”, which sparked a journey that would span coming up on 20 years.

For now, Raw is picking his next moves wisely, dropping single after single independently. With his next upcoming single “SKY” dropping in October, Raw Minus is slowly trying to build his brand and name onto a larger scale. If his will and drive have anything to do with it, he will definitely find himself leveling up very soon. It surely has been a path of highs and lows but as Raw Minus puts it, “Its easy to get knocked off your path, but its also great to create a new one.”. We hear you Raw, loud and clear.
